When shopping for any particular wedding band, or engagement ring consumers aim to flash, and glimmer. An engagement ring symbolizes the love you have for your spouse to be, and let’s spectators around her in on the news as well. One of the most important parts to this judgment is making sure that her ring is perfect for her. With knowledge of specific engagement ring designs, and what you know about your loved one, could all easily influence your final decision in the perfect wedding band, or engagement ring. On October 6th 2004 Brittany Spears had bought herself a $40,000, 4-carat, cushion-cut diamond wedding ring, with a Platinum pave setting before her wedding with Kevin Federline. On June 15th 2005 Paris Hilton was greeted with not just one, but a pair of diamond engagement rings from billionaire Paris Latsis, a $5 million, 24-carat, canary diamond ring as a representation of an “I Love You” wedding ring, along with a $2.1 million, 15-carat, white diamond ring. (Since they never got married, I wonder if she gave the rings back. Somehow, I highly doubt it.)
Moving along brings us down to the royal wedding hosted by Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten (son of Prince Andrew of Greece and great-great-grandson of Queen Victoria) and Britain's Princess Elizabeth (now Queen Elizabeth II) and were wed in Westminster Abbey on November 20, 1947. Prince Philip had a unique idea in mind, he had gathered diamonds taken from a tiara that had belonged to his mother, and set them along a platinum band which was made from a nugget of Welsh gold, a family tradition. As a result Princess Elizabeth's engagement ring was of royal and sentimental value. Lastly at the most noticeable wedding ring we have famous actor Michael Douglas who had granted famous actress Catherine Zeta-Jones’ with a 10-carat, antique marquise diamond estimated at almost $2 million.
